Fondo Mivivienda (FMV) is a governmental organization in Peru dedicated to providing affordable housing solutions for low-income families. FMV oversees the financing and construction of subsidized housing projects across the country, ensuring that eligible families have access to quality housing. The organization works closely with local developers, municipalities, and other stakeholders to facilitate the planning and execution of these housing initiatives, contributing significantly to the country’s efforts in reducing housing deficits.
This initiative is a key part of FMV's broader strategy to expand the availability and accessibility of subsidized housing across Peru. The existing processes for candidate registration and project tracking are manual, time-consuming, and prone to errors, often leading to delays and inefficiencies. The new application is designed to digitize and streamline these processes, enabling more families to be considered for the program and improving oversight and management of housing projects. The application will also support FMV's goal of increasing transparency and accountability in housing allocations.
The primary challenge of this project is to design an intuitive and efficient system that simplifies the registration and tracking process for both end-users (families) and administrators (FMV staff). The current system is fragmented and largely paper-based, making it difficult to manage and track the progress of housing applications and construction projects. The new solution must ensure a smooth user experience, reduce administrative burden, and facilitate real-time tracking and reporting to improve the overall effectiveness of FMV's housing initiatives.
The primary objective of this project is to design and develop a comprehensive candidate registration and project tracking application for FMV. This application will replace the existing manual system, enabling streamlined and accurate data entry, project management, and reporting. It will support FMV's mission by ensuring more families can access subsidized housing, improving the efficiency of the registration process, and enhancing the overall management and oversight of housing projects across Peru.
